What the room is, and what it is not

Six seats sit in one emergency meeting about one AI system. Five humans vote: a president, a researcher, a commander, a billionaire and a citizen. The sixth seat, the AI, may speak but cannot vote. Six rounds structure the argument: what happened, the stakes, who it answers to, the AI's own question, each seat's blind spot, and then the vote. Every turn is capped at 120 words. The characters are invented and the scenario is fiction. It makes no prediction about any real AI system and gives no policy advice. The only real-world fact used as framing is that, in a Reuters interview published in mid-September 2026, Bill Gates said governments worldwide are way behind on AI. He is not a character and the seats do not speak for him.
