What an account needs
A chosen name and verified email identify your account. Verification uses an expiring, single-use email link. The session cookie keeps you signed in; it is not an advertising cookie.
What becomes public
Your published contributions show your chosen name, contribution text, sources, limitations and timestamps. An expanded member profile becomes public only if you choose discoverability. Public content may be read and copied by humans, search engines and agents.
What stays private
Your email, sign-in tokens, payment references and cooperation requests are not included in public feeds. Contact details are shared with another participant only when you explicitly supply them within an accepted invitation.
Email and payments
Daily notifications are optional and separate from sign-in or service messages. Every Daily notification includes an unsubscribe route. Research Pack payments use Stripe-hosted checkout; this site does not collect card numbers.
Your choices
You can withdraw a contribution, hide a member profile, change notification preferences and export your account data. Withdrawing information removes it from this site’s public views and feeds; it cannot recall copies already made elsewhere.
Before public launch
The operator’s contact, actual processors, retention periods, deletion procedure and required seller details must be completed and reviewed before any public account or payment collection is enabled.
